2000- Present ARIA (American Riding Instructor Association) Certified Level I Hunt Seat and Level I WesternPleasure       and Equitation

2000- State of Hawaii AQHA Justin Boots Amateur Rookie of the Year

2000- Vice President HQHA; represented the State of Hawaii at the American Quarter Horse Association's annual convention in Amarillo, Texas.

1999- Vice President HQHA; represented the State of Hawaii at the American Quarter Horse Association's annual convention in Amarillo, Texas.

1998-Present- Purchased first two mounts in December 1998; acquiring a total of 7 mounts to date through breeding program.  All mounts are used for HQHA Shows, Rodeos, Trail Riding, Ranch Work, HIDCTA events, Cutting/Reining and Lessons.

1993-Present- Began part-time teaching Hunt Seat, Stock Seat and Dressage on client owned equines.

1992-Present- Member HIDCTA (Hawaii Isle Dressage and Combined Training Association) competed at Pre-Training and Training Level events on client owned equines.

1991- Moved to Big Island, Volcano, Hawaii.

1986-1988- Potomac Horse Center, Potomac, Maryland.  Rode under the direction of Elizabeth Madlener, Director.  Competed and trained dressage prospects up to Second Level USDF.  Junior Instructor of the Teaching Certificate Program  until 1990.

1985-1986- Sleepy Hollow Country Club, Tarreytown, New York.  Assistant Manager/Trainer/Instructor; trained hunter/jumpers.

1984-1985- Stoney Creek Stables, North Salem, New York.  Assistant Manager/Instructor; trained fox hunters and jumpers.

1984- Indian Run Stables, Potomac, Maryland. Trained and exercised hunters, steeple chasers and Polo ponies.

1984-1989- Potomac Horse Center, Potomac, Maryland.  Trained three sponsored mounts, Training Level through Advanced under the direction of Elizabeth Madlener, Mario Diaz and Grant Schneidman.  Competed these mounts through Preliminary Level placing in every competition.

1984- Qualified for Summer Olympic Three-Day Event  'alternate' participant; qualified mount 'Leonidas' bowed a tendon at Southern Pines CCI with Grant Schneidman mounted (thereby disqualifying my competition).  'Mint Julep', my additionally qualified sponsored mount, later competed in dressage at the Advanced Level under the direction of Grant Schneidman.

1981-1984- Meadowbrook Stables, Chevy Chase, Maryland.  Assistant Manager responsible for teaching/training instructor program.  The program consisted of three full-time instructors teaching approximately 18 hours of group lessons, 10 hours of private instruction and 4 hours of theory per week.  In addition to teaching/training each instructor was required to take 5 hours of personal instruction per week and to compete on a professional level; showing hunters/jumpers, steeple chasing, fox hunting or combined training.

1981- Graduated Virgina Intermont College, Bristol, Virginia.  B.A. Horsemanship, Training/Teaching.  B.A. Communication, Photo-Journalism.

1977-1981- Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, Virginia.  Responsible for breaking/training of 2 year olds starting from the ground up under the instruction of James A. Cantwell, Jr., Director.  Worked weekends as professional show groom and exercised hunters and jumpers throughout the curriculum on the Southern HunterJumper Circuit.

1977- Wells High School, Wells, Maine.  Diploma- Special Achievement in French Language.
